Legal formationfor your clinical social work practice.
Your LawInc attorney reviews your active California LCSW license and proposed corporate and practice names, then prepares your corporate records and makes the initial filings.
Your formation is led by Zach Javdan, LawInc’s founding attorney, licensed in California since 2002.
- 01Your license and practice reviewed.
Before anything is filed, the attorney confirms that you hold an active California LCSW license and that your practice fits a licensed clinical social worker corporation.
- 02Your name checked.
The attorney checks your proposed name against the wording California requires for this corporation before the Articles are filed.
- 03Your corporate records prepared.
Your bylaws, organizational minutes, share documents and stock ledger are prepared, with California’s limits on who may hold shares written in. LawInc handles the initial filings: the Articles, Statement of Information, EIN and applicable California securities notice, plus Form 2553 if you elect S corporation treatment.
- 04Direct access to your attorney.

What the attorney checks for your practice.
The attorney reviews three questions with you before the Articles are filed.
- 01Your license and ownership.
The attorney confirms your active California LCSW license and reviews the proposed ownership. Allied or mixed-license owners and entity, trust or out-of-state ownership require attorney review before ordering. For nonstandard ownership or equity, contact us before ordering to confirm whether we can accept the matter. Registered associates and unlicensed investors cannot hold shares.
- 02Your corporate and practice names.
The corporation’s name and any name under which it provides services must include “licensed clinical social worker” and a permitted corporate designator, such as “Inc.” The attorney reviews both names before filing. A fictitious practice name also requires client disclosures before treatment, including the corporation’s status and the owners’ names and license designations. County fictitious-name filing and publication, and preparation of client notices, are separate from this formation service.
- 03Your directors and officers.
As the sole owner, you can be the sole director and serve as president, secretary and treasurer. The attorney confirms who will serve in each officer role before filing.
