Attorney-led formationfor your accounting practice.
Your LawInc attorney reviews your license, ownership and firm name, then forms the corporation and prepares its corporate records and initial filings. Your formation memorandum explains the separate California Board of Accountancy (CBA) registration that follows.
Your formation is led by Zach Javdan, LawInc’s founding attorney, licensed in California since 2002.
- 01Your license and ownership reviewed.
Before filing, the attorney confirms that your license and proposed ownership fit the standard accountancy corporation service. If your plans require a different scope or price, the attorney reviews that with you first.
- 02Corporate records prepared for your firm.
Bylaws, organizational minutes, a Certificate of Secretary, share documents and a stock ledger, prepared by the attorney who forms the corporation. They record who owns the corporation and how it is run from its first day.
- 03Initial filings handled.
We file the Articles, the Statement of Information and the applicable California securities notice and obtain the EIN, with Form 2553 if you elect S corporation treatment. Your filed Articles then go with your CBA application.
- 04Direct access to your attorney.
Questions about ownership, your firm name or next steps go to the attorney handling your formation. The founding attorney takes the call.

Before we formyour accountancy corporation.
Your license, ownership and firm name matter to the CBA application. Your attorney reviews them before filing the Articles and explains the registration step that follows.
- 01Your license and ownership.
The standard $2,495 service is for CPAs or PAs with active California licenses. Customized or nonstandard matters may require attorney review and separate pricing. Non-licensee, entity, trust or out-of-state ownership requires attorney review before ordering. Nonstandard ownership or equity is not automatically accepted.
- 02Your corporate name.
The attorney reviews your proposed name before filing so that the name on your Articles matches your CBA application. A later name change requires amended Articles and CBA approval before you practice or hold yourself out under the new name.
- 03Separate CBA registration.
The corporation cannot practice or hold itself out as an accountancy corporation until the CBA approves its registration. LawInc forms the corporation first. You handle the separate CBA application and Board fees; your formation memorandum explains that step.
